Catch and keep begins tomorrow in Missouri

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Conservation is stocking local waters with trout to catch and keep. Media Specialist with MDC Bill Graham told KXCV/KRNW that oxygen levels in the water will not sustain trout in summer months.

Catch and keep begins Feb. 1, and fishers over 15 years old must have licenses and proper permits.

Participating lakes in the KXCV/KRNW listening area include Everyday Pond at Missouri Western University and the Krug Park Lagoon in St. Joseph. For more information and a statewide list of lakes, visit mdc.mo.gov.
